Check
My first front-page North County Times story ran this morning.
It’s a profile on a veteran who recently returned to Vietnam, 35 years after his tour of duty, to find closure.
Veteran returns to Vietnam to learn and heal
He practiced his Vietnamese, too, learning to say things like “hello” and “thank you.”
“The words I knew before in Vietnamese were, ‘Stop, show me your ID or I’ll kill you,’” he said.
I can check another life goal off the list now.

Very cool.
Awesome.
Congratulations!
Oh my, Andrew – that’s absolutely AWESOME! I am so glad to see a copy of it on your weblog. That must fulfill in you a great sense of accomplishment. I know your family must be bursting with more pride than usual. Congratulations indeed!
I don’t subscribe to the Times, but serendipitously I bought a copy from one of the Alpha project guys this morning. Well-timed indeed – great article.
